About Us

Ray’s Hardware & Sporting Goods was founded in 1949 by Ray and Lillian Brantley. They opened their first store in a building his uncle owned at 630 Singleton Blvd. Ray’s first firearm was acquired when someone traded it for a washtub. Ray sold the firearm right away and the rest is history. As the business grew, Ray purchased property a block away where the current store is now.
